How guides are written

Guides are researched from producers’ own information, official tourism sources and first-hand visits, and reviewed by our editor before publishing.

Facts that change

Opening hours, tour prices and booking rules change often. We describe how to check them rather than printing figures that go out of date, and we update pages when readers report changes.

What we don’t do

• No paid placements dressed as guides.
• No free trips or bottles in exchange for coverage.
• No content encouraging excessive drinking or drinking and driving.
